Barry at Blogging for a Good Book is once again getting into the Halloween mood by reviewing a horror book a day from now through Friday (The librarians at BFGB take the weekend off).
I’ll be reading his posts all week and putting up links here to each of his reviews.
As he states in the first review, Barry likes a more subtle kind of horror rather than buckets ‘o blood. Since I tend more towards the buckets end, I’m pleased as can be to let him introduce you to some great examples of a more refined, just slightly “off” kind of horror that he enjoys.
Give it a try.
After all, even the most blood-happy horror reader might find some enjoyable reading . . . might even find something that scares her anew.
Stop by all week to see this grow!
This week’s Posts at Blogging for a Good Book:
- The Oxford Book of English Ghost Stories
- Clockwork, by Philip Pullman
- High Spirits, by Robertson Davies
- The Turn of the Screw, by Henry James
- Best Ghost Stories of J. S. LeFanu
Blogging for a Good Book features one book or DVD review per weekday and is brought to you by the librarians at Williamsburg Regional Library.
