Let’s Have a Contest!
“April is the cruellest month” wrote T. S. Eliot in The Waste Land. I disagree. I like to think April can be pretty cool. It was the month I was born.
To celebrate that august event, I’d like to run a contest.
Let’s make the rules simple. You want to win? All you have to do is leave a comment on this website sometime in the month of April.
Too easy?
Okay, let’s say you have to leave at least one comment on this website before April 30 (when we’ll have the drawing) and . . . AND . . . you have to leave a valid e-mail address when you make the comment so I can contact you. The e-mail address won’t show up in the comment or anywhere in the public face of . . . With Intent to Commit Horror but I’ll have it if I draw your name out of the hat.
Deadline is April 30th, at 11:00pm Eastern Standard Time. Qualification is based on leaving a comment and an e-mail address in the comment’s registration field. Content of the comment does not matter — except no spam, profanity or harsh language please. (My daughter tries to read my blogs over my shoulder)
We’ll have three grand prizes. Three people who leave a comment with an e-mail address will get an e-Book copy of Raven Bower’s Apparitions, courtesy of the lovely Raven herself. Take a look at this book:

Bailey Khane is a renowned author visited by ghostly guests; murder victims seeking the peace of the grave. Unbeknownst to her, they were all slain by the same man. Caught between the growing shadow of his knife and the unholy fury of the dead he has left in his wake, she is forced to call upon obscure knowledge of the occult, superstition and myth to survive. . . . will she succeed? When Andy Bennett searches for the answers to his sister’s murder he is drawn into a web of horror and shambling corpses. With Bailey high on his list of suspects — Will he draw her from their clutches and risk becoming their prey? Sheriff Jay Carson and Deputy Raines fight to form a line between their citizens and the creatures that crave to destroy them. Will they fall and leave their town defenseless in the face of death? “With Apparitions, author Raven Bower manages to weave a suspenseful crime story with paranormal elements into a chilling read. She reaches deep down into the razor-sharp wire of her imagination and cuts a tale of stark terror. Definitely a writer to watch!” Darren Franz Author of Jack Frost and Ghost Train “Raven Bower’s work shows an intimate awareness of the dark things and the malevolent side of human nature. Unsettling scenes abound in Apparitions, and there’s not a doubt in my mind that we’ll be seeing much more of Ms. Bower in the future. A writer with great promise!” Kealan Patrick Burke Bram Stoker Award-Winning Author of Currency of Souls, The Turtle Boy, and The Hides. “First-time novelist Raven Bower has written a genuine horror story, filled with twists and turns and enough chills to keep readers turning the pages, that is, until the sun sets.” Steve Alten New York Times Bestselling Author of Meg and The Loch. |

I would like to thank Raven Bower for the wonderful donations and the encouragement to go ahead with this idea.
By the way, watch for Windigo, #2 in the Apparitions Series coming out later this year.
