The State of the Website: April

We’ve had some changes here recently. First the book covers disappeared. That has been taken care of. However I accidentally deleted the Web Resources pages and the Theme Book List pages. I didn’t mean to. I was trying to clear of debris from previous failed incarnations of the website. But, as they say, there it is.

The Web Resources pages were easy to replace. The Theme Book Lists will take a little more time but I hope to get them back soon, starting today.

Due to recent navigation changes some bookmarks for the author pages and the series pages are now out of date. Please look up the desired page again and change its bookmark.

I thought a clustered alphabet system (for example, a-e, f-l, etc.) would be enough to handle all of the horror writers. I was wrong and rather than wait until it became cumbersome, I changed it. Now all the authors with the last name beginning with A are on one page, B is on another page, C is on yet another page and so on. No further navigation changes are anticipated.

There are a lot of changes behind the scenes. I upgraded to the new WordPress v. 2.5 and added the final batch of plug-ins. You’ll notice the new share/save button for easy bookmarking. Most of the plug-ins will not create such a dramatic change.

One big change I hope to roll out soon is a contact page. Then you’ll have a way send messages to me. I’m excited about this. That means if you don’t find what you’re looking for or if you have a question about horror fiction, you’ll be able to contact me easily and get an answer.
